Founded by Peter Hodge as a sole trader, the business has grown into a trusted team of licensed electricians and plumbers servicing Coopers Plains and the wider Brisbane southside, including Ipswich, Logan and Redlands.
From a Ford Galaxie to a team of 25
With over 30 years of industry experience, Managing Director Peter Hodge built the business from the ground up with a commitment to genuine service and doing the job right.
The journey began in 1990 with a memorable first job, paid not in cash but with a Ford Galaxie, which gave the business its original name of Galaxy Plumbing. From those beginnings, the team has grown to more than 25 skilled electricians and plumbers delivering maintenance services across Brisbane.

Peter Hodge
Director
With over 40 years of experience as a licensed plumber and gas fitter, and more than 35 years leading O’Brien Electrical & Plumbing Coopers Plains, Peter brings unmatched industry knowledge and leadership. He has managed countless service and maintenance contracts and built the business alongside Madonna and the team on foundations of integrity, ethics and a deep commitment to our values. Peter believes that transparency, honesty and respect for everyone, clients, staff and suppliers alike, are not only the right way to do business but the key to long-term success.
Madonna Hodge
Business Manager
Madonna has over 40 years’ experience in office management, contracts administration, HR, payroll and financial operations. She is the driving force behind the business’s culture of care and responsibility. With many team members beginning their journey here as apprentices, Madonna has helped build a family-oriented environment where everyone is valued and supported. Her passion extends beyond the business, championing mental health awareness through initiatives like TradeMutt workwear and fundraising for TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter).
Rachel Hodge
Operations Manager
With nearly a decade of experience in the business, Rachel oversees day-to-day operations. She manages service and maintenance contracts, job scheduling, quoting, invoicing and client KPI requirements, as well as payroll and accounts. Rachel’s organisational skills and attention to detail keep the business running efficiently and every client well served.
Josh Etchells
Plumbing Manager
Josh has more than 15 years of experience in the plumbing industry. His understanding of plumbing solutions and his leadership make him an invaluable asset to the team, and his commitment to excellence means every plumbing job meets the highest standards. Josh specialises in general plumbing and drainage, gas fitting service and maintenance, hot water systems, sewer and stormwater drainage, and the maintenance of commercial and industrial buildings.

Our management team, Josh as Plumbing Manager, Dan as Electrical Supervisor and Rachel as Office Manager, bring extensive experience in maintenance and operations.
We believe in supporting both our team and the community we serve. Many of our staff have grown with the business, creating a strong culture built on trust, teamwork and respect.
